discovery tdi v8 land rover

The Land Rover Discovery, not quite a legend.

The Discovery was obviously a sales success, hence the plentiful supply of cheap older models.

Land Rover took a Range Rover Classic and removed everything that was not critical to the running of the vehicle, fitted a cheap interior with half the fastenings required to keep it in place, and sold them on at a lower price tag.

That said after 15 years service many of these vehicles are still going strong fit for purpose, commuting, towing and suffering abuse off road.

This site is not meant to be derogatory towards the Discovery, more an acceptance of the vehicles failings while at the same time an appreciation of its abilities. As the old adage goes "anything is repairable" in the Discovery`s case this is very true, and they can be run on a very modest budget.
